  • Freight shipping is quoted manually before the order is confirmed.
  • Oversized fireplaces may ship by curbside freight delivery only.
  • Remote locations, islands, rural delivery routes, and areas not serviced by standard carriers may require additional charges or may not be eligible for delivery.
  • Deliveries to Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut may be subject to additional freight charges and must be confirmed before ordering.

Shipping Review & Remote Delivery Areas

  • If freight costs are excessive or the delivery address is not serviceable by standard carriers, we may contact you with alternate delivery options, additional charges, or cancel and refund the order before shipment.
  • Remote areas, limited-access locations, islands, rural routes, and destinations outside standard carrier service areas may require additional delivery charges.
  • Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut are not automatically included in standard free local shipping or quoted freight offers and may require a custom shipping quote.

Returns & Freight Costs

If a fireplace needs to be returned, shipping and freight costs may apply. This is especially important for larger fireplaces, mantel packages, and items that ship by freight carrier.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise confirmed by The Electric Fireplace Shop.
  • If an order received free or discounted shipping, the original outbound shipping cost may be deducted from the refund when the item is returned, cancelled after shipment, or refused at delivery.
  • If an order is returned, cancelled after delivery, or refused at delivery, any original delivery or freight costs may be deducted from the refund.
  • If a product was originally shipped on a pallet or skid, it must be returned on a pallet or skid in the same secure shipping condition.
  • Products must be returned in their original packaging with all included media, remotes, trims, manuals, accessories, and parts.
📦 Return note: Please do not discard the original packaging until you are sure the fireplace is correct, undamaged, and suitable for your project. Large fireplaces are difficult to return safely without the original packaging.

Customers can also choose pickup from our Mississauga showroom. Pickup is a good option if you are local, working with a contractor, or want to avoid delivery timing concerns.

  • Please wait for confirmation before arriving for pickup.
  • Bring a suitable vehicle, especially for larger electric fireplaces and mantel packages.
